Who is eligible for a Private Pilot's Licence?

 

Anyone who is deemed physically fit by an Aviation Medical Doctor.

How long does it take to complete a Private Pilot's course?

 

Students devoting full time to learning to fly usually complete the course in 6 weeks or less. Weekend and evening training for the employed student would require an average of 3 to 4 months.

How is ground instruction given?

 

Regular classes are held and individual tutoring may be arranged.

How old do you have to be to get a Private Pilot's Licence?

 

Although you can start training at age 14, you cannot obtain your licence until you are 17. There is no maximum age limit providing you can pass your medical.

Can a licensed pilot rent Leading Edge Aviation Aircraft?

 

Yes. He/ She pays the hourly rates as published and this includes the cost of fuel and oil.

How and when can I commence my flying course?

 

First have a medical completed from a doctor who is approved by the Ministry of Transport. If medically fit, we will commence your training at your convenience by appointment.
