Why The Colour Green?
Wondering Why throughout our website we have elements of dark green? On April 10, 1941 the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), opened No. 11 Service Flying Training School (SFTS) at RCAF Station Yorkton, the hangar was painted dark green colours as camouflage.! Since the war has ended, Leading Edge has proudly offered exemplary flight training for civilians! In honour of our fellow aviators, we continue to keep the hangar as it was! The green hangar is still one of few war time structures of original Canadian history! Come on by and learn about our airfield, and while you're here, try out an epic flight!
